There are five major types of anxiety disorders, namely Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention. It is generally diagnosed in childhood and can persist into adulthood.

Bipolar Disorder is a mental illness characterized by extreme mood shifts. People with bipolar disorder experience high and low moods (known as mania and depression). There are four types of bipolar disorder, Bipolar I Disorder, Bipolar II Disorder, Cyclothymia, and Bipolar Disorder Not Otherwise Specified.

A Personality Disorder is a way of thinking, behaving, and feeling that deviates from the norm, causes problems or distress and lasts over time. There are ten types of personality disorders grouped into three categories known as “clusters”: Paranoid Personality Disorder, Schizoid Personality Disorder, Schizotypal Personality Disorder (Cluster A); Antisocial Personality Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Histrionic Personality Disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder (Cluster B); Avoidant Personality Disorder, Dependent Personality Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (Cluster C).
